The Story Time Experience
Captain Orange Storytimes and Events are designed to provide an excellent entertainment opportunity for any size of audience, whether it is 10 children at a birthday, or 200 at the Children’s Festival. Captain Orange, also known as Mike, has a variety of different packages (covered below) to help create the perfect entertainment experience for you. Daycare Storytime
A Daycare Storytime is a special visit from a member of your community. A chance for children to experience the full depth and excitement of reading, singing and discovery play.
Audience Size: 2-30 children
Cost: $150.00
Special Storytime
A Special Storytime occurs in your choice of location, like your home, a park, or a small gathering. It can include up to 15 children for up to 45 minutes of interactive fun and high-energy stories. The storytime is designed for the age group you specify and can include traditional tales, songs, picture books and puppetry to create a one-of-a-kind, storytelling adventure. A Special Storytime is ideal entertainment for a children’s birthday party, an evening with family, or special night for a child you love.

Intense Orange Extravaganza
Captain Orange blends traditional tales, songs, picture books and puppetry to create an exciting storytelling adventure with active audience involvement. Ideal for children from 2-6, the Intense Orange Extravaganza is memorable and beloved live children’s entertainment. Mike has done Captain Orange storytelling at Nutrien Children’s Festival, the Saskatoon Public Library, the Western Development Museum, and a wide variety of events throughout Saskatoon, including stories in the park, school performances, class visits and staff parties for employers.

Shadow Puppet Workshop
Ideal for students in grades 2-12 in Arts Education and Drama courses, the workshops help students design their own shadow puppets in active 3 hour workshops. The final day includes performances using puppetry techniques. The workshops can come to the class, and be spread across time periods to fit into class schedules. The service includes a consultation to connect to particular curricular outcomes.

Shadow Teller
We love stories, and growing up never changes that. Shadow Teller uses shadow puppets and told stories to engage the adult audience in connecting ideas that shape us. Ideal for smaller groups, Shadow Teller stories require a dark space and technology for performances.
